This is a brand new instalment in Chris' series of improvisational quilting class, focusing on making small projects. Learn the basics of improv quilting while making one or more small projects. In this 4 week class, you can make a beautiful wall hanging or use pieces on bags or clothing The only limit is your imagination!

You will progress through this very satisfying course in a fluid manner. You will complete your improv fabric in first two weeks. In the remaining two weeks, you will turn your design into the small project of choice and finish off with fun finishing techniques. 

This is a very satisfying class with immediate satisfaction resulting in a completed mini project of your choice. 

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner 

Group size: Maximum 6 guests to keep our classes cozy and fun!

Skill Requirements: 
- Prior quilting experience.
- Must be aged 16+

What You Provide:

Quilting Cottons as follows:

  • 10 fat quarters of mixed solid and prints 
  • 1 full meter fusible web (Heat n' Bond) 

Notions and tools: 

  • Plenty of threaded bobbins & spools of thread
  • Your own sewing machine (recommended)
  • Your own rotary cutter, with plenty of blades (recommended)

What We Provide:

  • Rotary cutters (if you do not have one) 
  • Cutting mats
  • Irons & ironing boards
  • Spray starch

Equipment requirements: We highly encourage you to bring your own sewing machine, however if you don't own a machine, one will be provided for you. If you’d like to bring your home machine, please remember to bring the manual (and foot pedal/power cord) and arrive 10 minutes prior to the scheduled time to set up. If you don't own a rotary cutter, you can borrow use one of ours.
