Come join Mandy to create a unique, functional Traverse Bag using a pattern by popular designer Anna Graham of Noodlehead! This class will walk you through sewing a bag that includes two zippers, a snap closure, and multiple handy pockets. You’ll end the class with at least one new bag (if you’re speedy you might end up working on a second!), and a new pattern you can customize for yourself or future gifts!

Skill Level:
Intermediate

Skill requirements:

  • Advanced Beginner classes plus several completed items.
  • Experience successfully completing several sewing projects. This class will not cover basic sewing machine operations such as threading a needle, switching needles, how to adjust stitch length, locking stitches, reverse stitching, pivoting corners, winding bobbins etc. Students should be capable of performing these procedures without assistance.

Must be aged 16+

In this workshop you will learn:

  • How to install a closed-end zipper with a lining
  • Ways to use fusible interfacing for stability
  • How to turn a bag, and trouble-shoot for precise finishing
  • How to install hardware like snaps, rivets and/or magnetic snaps
  • Tips and tricks for dealing with curved corners
