Make Camp is a unique camp experience for kids who likes to get crafty! Join us this Summer for an inspiring and productive week of needle felting, embroidery, macrame and machine sewing with our beloved children's instructor J! This camp is suitable for ages 8-12.
This camp is open to ALL skill levels!
Make Camp Activities:
Monday – Needle felting (3D and flat felting) - (Needle felt is the process of interlocking wool fibres by poking with a barbed needle) Make anything from your imagination (animal, character or other object) from wool roving!
Tuesday – Hand Sewing & Embroidery - Learn the art of freestyle and stencilled embroidery and stitching!
Wednesday –Machine Sewing - We're going to take our embroidery and turn it into a bag or pillow! Don't worry if you haven't sewn before, we're going to give you a full introduction!
Thursday – Machine Sewing - Design Your Own Stuffy - This could be a doll, monster, sock animal or character from a game or your imagination!
Friday – Choose Your Own Adventure - Taking everything your learned this week into account, you can choose your own project for the last day of camp. We'll be checking in with you at the end of camp on Thursday to find out what you might like to make so that we can best prepare!
All materials and equipment are provided for each project but we do offer a 20% student discount on all your supplies or tools purchased during the program!
Equipment requirements: We highly encourage you to bring your own sewing machine, however if you don't own a machine, one will be provided for you. If you’d like to bring your home machine, please remember to bring the manual (and foot pedal/power cord).

Snacks & Refreshments: We encourage you to send snacks and refreshments as it’s much easier to be creative when you have fuel for the brain!
