What will you be making?
This workshop is focused on making for ages 0-12 years old. We are flexible in terms of what you are making as you know your kiddos best!
Patterns Available: We have a selection of patterns for you to use during the workshop including leggings, tee-shirts, pinafore dress, button up shirt, shorts, trousers and skirts in all sizes. You are of course welcome to bring your own patterns to work from as well.
Skill requirements: Basic sewing machine experience is required for this workshop.
Material requirements: You will be required to purchase fabrics for your chosen clothing projects. The Makehouse offers a 20% discount for students registered in this class. We will be in touch regarding what to buy once we know your pattern choices!
We always have lots of odds and ends of fabric and trims on hand for little details, so you really just need your main fabrics. You can also bring adult clothing that you wish to re-purpose if you prefer.
Equipment requirements: Please note that we provide a sewing machine and tools for you to use in the studio, but you are more than welcome to bring your machine from home. If you’d like to bring your home machine, please remember to bring the manual (and foot pedal/power cord).
Group size: We like to keep our workshops cozy and fun, so attendance is limited to 5 guests.
