
Have you always wanted to learn how to sew garments?
This is a four-part advanced beginner sewing course that will help get you going. Repetition is important in building on new skills, so practicing your sewing four weeks in a row will help to cement what you learn and open new doors to making your own clothes!
You will have the opportunity to make one garment in this class. We have a selection of garment patterns to choose from. See 'Patterns' section below.

Skill requirements:
A couple of our 'Learn to Sew' classes, 'Home Sewing Boot Camp' OR basic sewing experience (knowing how to thread and use a sewing machine, wind a bobbin, construct simple seams, and be familiar with sewing terminology such as "right sides of fabric together" and "seam allowance").
Must be aged 16+
YOU WILL NEED TO BUY THE FOLLOWING SUPPLIES:
Pattern (see below for link to options)
Woven fabric (see your pattern for fabric suggestions)
Thread
Any other notions noted on your pattern (e.g. elastic, buttons, etc.)
Please buy your fabric and supplies in advance. We strongly recommend you wash and dry your fabric in the same way that you will wash and dry your garment to pre-shrink your fabric.

We offer a 20% student discount on all your supplies for this workshop! You can use this on-line and in-store. You will be sent a code to use online once you've registered for your class!

Equipment requirements: We highly encourage you to bring your own sewing machine, if you have one. Please remember to bring the machine's foot pedal/power cord and manual and arrive a few minutes early to set up. If you don't own a machine, or it's not practical for you to bring your machine with you, you can use one of ours.
Group size: Maximum 5 guests to keep our classes cozy and fun!
