This program runs on Thursdays after-school  from 3:45-5:15.

Please note that we are running DIY Fashion Club in longer blocks than previous years as we're working on a 'fewer faces, larger spaces' model during Covid-19.

Learning Outcomes:

Learn about the design process, reading patterns, cutting fabric from paper patterns, garment construction and finishing skills. We also encourage experimenting with re-styling existing clothing as this can be a great way to learn more about clothing, while re-working clothing that is no longer being worn!

We also cover finishing techniques including hemming, zippers, button holes and working with elastics.

We have patterns to make just about anything here, but if you have a special pattern in mind, you are welcome to bring it along.

Skill requirements: Clothes Club is geared towards ages 12-17 who have either been to Fashion Camp, taken private lessons and/or practice machine sewing regularly at home.

Material requirements: Use of sewing equipment and patterns are included in the cost, however you will need to purchase the main fabrics for your clothing projects. We do sometimes receive donations of fabric from local sewists, which we offer up to student's from time to time, helping to keep costs down. If material costs are a barrier to joining this program, please let us know as we can always source within our amazing fabric community.

We offer a 20% student discount on all your supplies or tools purchased in preparation for or on the day of your class!

Please read our Covid-19 Safety Measures before booking.

Equipment requirements: Please note that we provide a sewing machine for you to use, but you are more than welcome to bring your machine from home (please remember to bring the manual and foot pedal/power cord).

Group size: Maximum 5

Snacks & Refreshments: We encourage you to send snacks and refreshments as it’s much easier to be creative when you have fuel for the brain!
