Babies welcome!
A friendly and welcoming 4-week class for caregivers to come in to sew with their wee ones. This "Baby Love" edition is focused on making kids/baby clothes for your wee ones or other wee ones in your life. (You don't have a wee one? No problem! You can still join us for this class).
Breaks for you to feed, change, or walk your baby around the studio is expected! We have a change table in our bathroom and space at each sewing station for a car seat or baby carriage.
**We have a padded baby yard that will be set up in the space for those babies that are at the crawling stage. - For safety purposes, we can't have any walking babies in our space.
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
Skill requirements:
A couple of our 'Learn to Sew' classes, 'Home Sewing Boot Camp' OR basic sewing experience (knowing how to thread and use a sewing machine, wind a bobbin, construct simple seams, and be familiar with sewing terminology such as "right sides of fabric together" and "seam allowance").

In this workshop you will learn:
- How to chose the right woven and knit fabric for your garment
- Making the most out of your fabrics
- Construction techniques and shortcuts for kids clothing
- How to create button holes
- Simple applique techniques to add detail
- Tips and tricks for sewing neat hems and finishing details
- Tips on how to re-purpose adult clothing into children's garments
What will you be making?
This workshop is focused on making for ages 0-12 years old. We are flexible in terms of what you are making as you know your kiddos best!
What we Provide:
Patterns Available: We have a selection of patterns for you to use during the workshop including, dresses, button up shirt, shorts, trousers, dungarees and skirts in all sizes. You are of course welcome to bring your own patterns to work from as well.

Material requirements: You will be required to purchase fabrics for your chosen clothing projects.
We offer a 15% student discount on all your supplies for this workshop! You will be sent a code to use online once you've registered for your class!
We always have lots of odds and ends of fabric and trims on hand for little details, so you really just need your main fabrics. You can also bring adult clothing that you wish to re-purpose if you prefer.
