Come join a group of senior sewists in a relaxed atmosphere to share ideas and make progress on your sewing projects! You are welcome to use our equipment and tools (sewing machines, cutting mats, scissors, etc.). Tea will be served and you are welcome to bring snacks.
The Seniors' Sewcial is for sewists who are comfortable working independently on their projects. One of our community or staff members will be on hand to provide a little help, if need.
What We Provide:
Equipment: sewing machines and all tools (if you need them!).
What You Provide:
A sense of fun and anything you will need for your sewing project! If you like, you can buy fabric, patterns, tracing cloth or notions from our store during the Sewcial.
Please book a private lesson for before the Sewcial if:
- you need more than a couple of minutes of help or help with an advanced project; or
- you're hoping to use a serger, coverstitch or industrial sewing machine and have no experience with these machines yet.
