Building on the skills learned in Beginner Quilting Part One we will make a Half Square Triangle Quilt of your choice (options below)
Skill Level: Advanced beginner
Prerequisite: Beginner Quilting Part One
Skill requirements:
Couple of our 'Learn to Sew' series classes, Home Sewing Boot Camp (All under Beginner Sewing Workshops), and Beginner Quilting Part One OR equivalent to all the prior.
Must be aged 16+

- Review Colour theory and fabric selection
- Review Cutting Technique
- How to create 2, 4, 8 and more Half square triangles - its' like magic!
- Piecing
- Intro to flying geese and other traditional HST Quilt Blocks
- How to create your own pattern
- Review of Pressing tips and technique
- Quilt assembly
- Binding and quilt labels
- Calculating Fabric Requirements
Material requirements:
You will be required to purchase fabrics, batting and thread for your quilt. Materials will be discussed before the first session. You are welcome to bring any fabrics that you would like to use from home as well.
We offer a 20% student discount on all your supplies for this workshop! You will be sent a code to use online once you've registered for your class!
Equipment requirements: We highly encourage you to bring your own sewing machine, however if you don't own a machine, one will be provided for you. If you’d like to bring your home machine, please remember to bring the manual (and foot pedal/power cord) and arrive 10 minutes prior to the scheduled time.
Group size: Maximum 5 guests to keep our classes cozy and fun!
