Collection: About Us

The Makehouse opened in May 2012 from a tiny backroom studio on Fort Street. By September we moved the business into a retail space that opened up just a few doors down! This is where we really started to grow our workshops, find new teachers and eventually our retail store. After five years on Fort Street, we needed more space! So we moved to our current location in the Douglas Centre in October 2017. We now have a dedicated retail store, beautiful sewing studio as well as an online store!
