What will you be making?
This workshop is focused on making for ages 0-7 years old. If you are interested in making clothing above the age of 7 please get in touch as we will still be able to accommodate you, we just need to chat about your goals upon registration.
Patterns Available: We have a selection of patterns for you to use during the workshop including leggings, tee-shirts, pinafore dress, button up shirt, shorts, trousers and skirts.
Skill requirements: Basic sewing machine experience is required for this workshop.
Material requirements: You will be required to purchase fabrics for your chosen clothing projects. The Makehouse and Gala Fabrics offer a 20% discount for students registered in this class. We will be in touch regarding what to buy once we know your project choices!
We always have lots of odds and ends of fabric and trims on hand for little details, so you really just need your main fabrics. You can also bring adult clothing that you wish to re-purpose if you prefer.
Equipment requirements: Please note that we provide a sewing machine and tools for you to use in the studio, but you are more than welcome to bring your machine from home. If you’d like to bring your home machine, please remember to bring the manual (and foot pedal/power cord).
Group size: We like to keep our workshops cozy and fun, so attendance is limited to 6 guests.
We encourage you to bring snacks as it’s much easier to be creative when you have fuel for the brain! We always make herbal teas during the workshop but you are welcome to bring in outside beverages too.
