Make Club is a fun creative space to learn and practice the art of sewing and other textile related crafts . During each session there will be a different activity planned (sometimes seasonal like Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day etc). We vary from sewing projects including fashion accessories, tote bags, fashion up-cycling & mending, embroidery, hand sewing to needle felting and fabric painting or stamping. We understand that young makers also have their own individual goals, so we are very used to improvising and helping students work on their chosen projects!
Your child’s place at Make Club must be pre-registered via our website website or by phone 778.430.6253. Once a session begins, we be able to accommodate drop-ins depending on numbers so please get in touch!
The cost is $105 per 6 week session including taxes and most materials (if your child has a clothing or quilting project in mind, you may be required to purchase additional supplies).
Please note that if your child has never used a sewing machine before, we recommend booking a one hour intro to the sewing machine with us prior to registering for Make Club. The format of Make Club does not allow enough time for intensive 1-1 tuition for new students. We do refreshers and cover lots of new techniques in machine sewing, hand sewing and needle felting during the sessions, but it’s important for safety for each child to have some machine background.
You are welcome to send in a snack with your kids each day.
